There may not be an answer then and they are just selling a misleading product:/ What about the finishes, I found on the rare occasions I used it that the silver clay was better matt using the sponge sanding sheets from Cookson

Today I have just finished firing the white clay bronze which doesn't state sterling and it is even worse very grey even after brushing.

Thank you for sharing your experience. They look like fancy cookies though and they're making me hungry. Dennis.
Haha yes they do. Do you think they are too thick then. I did a thinner one but it just broke in two.

I really don't know enough about clay Karen and anyone who does isn't answering your questions. I would have thought if it broke it wasn't fired enough but that's only my guess. It's difficult to tell how thin yours are and I've only ever used clay for accents and not pieces. My last pack is solid in the drawer and will have to go in the scrap pot now

Sorry I couldn't help. Everyone else may be very busy working for various events, I've just finished a couple and I'm having an enforced break so spend more time on here than I should! Of course they may just not have tried bronze clay and haven't an answer

I have now found the correct firing schedule for my prometheus pro 1 kiln.
Place pieces on steel mesh and pre heat kiln to 500c
Fire for 10 mins.
Next fire in carbon at 770c for 3 hours.
This has worked for me with alot of trial and error so hope it helps someone else.
