    Default proxxon proxxoff !

    Hi All,

    My beloved proxxon hand torch wont work! The safety lock has got stuck so I cant turn the torch on, does anyone know how to un jam it please?

    I don't need it any more, panic over, brute force is the answer.

    yay, glad you got it sorted. When it is a tool you love to use, it is a pain to not have it working.

    1st I thought I would just get it working again if I just kept trying, then I panicked, then I sulked...then I handed it to my son! Simples!

    Actually It's worth having a less expensive spare, such as the basic one at Cookson. Not only so as not to be left in the lurch, but also because you can perform various tricks with two used together, one in each hand.

    For instance you have twice the heat for larger items. Also you can raise the temperature with a soft flame of one torch, where it barely glows in the dark, and select soldering points with the other using the same grade of solder.

    You can even learn to shoot from the hip. Dennis.
