For flux sake !!

Hello,
I am wondering if there is anyway to remove burnt flux from a crucible ? I know I can burn it off, holding the crucible at an angle, but recently I have found this has not worked and I am having large globs of impossible to move deposits of flux remaining in the crucible.

Is there any solution I can leave the crucible in that will eat away the excess flux ?

flux builds up over time if it is a great amount just heat with the torch and pour it off if this not successful as it has gone to far it's probably time to throw it out break in a new one
