    Default Monocle

    Hello,

I've been asked to make a Silver monocle for a friend, from his existing single glasses lens.

Making either a lipped single frame or burnishing one side over would be fine, I also know that I could combine both methods and encase the glass lens would work, but I was wondering if the was a way to make a double sided lip frame , that could avoid applying heat near the set in glass lens ?

    Any ideas would be welcomed

    Thanks in advance

You are aiming to make a spectacle setting, Which you will find described here: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ho...KKPS8Afv6Y7IDw

The final closure can be with a single rivet or opticians stainless steel self tapping screw, or two of them. Dennis.
