Theme Competition April 2017 - Easter

I would like to enter my silver rabbit pendant for the Easter theme, I didn't think I'd make it in time! He is about 40mm tall measuring from his upright ear. I carved Mr. Rabbit's head and body from a block of Ferris Blue wax and added the ears separately. I originally had his ears designed in a way to make its own bail which I thought was so clever, until I realised the chain would hang the wrong way and had to go back to the drawing board! So obviously not so clever at all. I planned to photograph him next to Easter chocolates but unfortunately it took me so long to finish him that I ate all the chocolate already

I was concerned about the balance and the way the rabbit would hang as its a heavier piece than I've ever made. So I wore it yesterday all day to test it out and it hangs perfectly, I love the weight of it. I also think I can get away with wearing rabbits year round where I live (not just Easter) as its an area with a lot of Alice-in-Wonderland history!
