This is my newly completed 'ice ring'.
I designed it to give off a frosty / cold / cool appearance, and the gemstone is a pear shaped clear Morganite stone.
I deliberately made the bezel look a little uneven in places and also left a slight texture on the inner edges to 'try' and make it resemble a bit of frost, but not entirely convinced I've managed it! The whole rings meant to look slightly organic.
The whole ring is sterling silver as usual, and I inlaid an opaque and virtually colourless stone in order to compliment the cold appearance of the Morganite.
Big thanks to James ( AKA Goldsmith ) for the tip on the Loctite glue. I ordered some off amazon via your link, and thats high viscosity and its worked a treat! Infinitely better than any rubbish from the craft shops and its also educated me that 'professional glue' exists. Who knew!
Thanks all,
Nick.
