Cooksons oxygen generator

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has purchased cooksons oxygen generator and if its noisy? I just purchased a refurbished oxycon and just find it too noisy to live with but love the idea of having one (dont want to pay boc another penny!).
I can live with a quiet humm like a life support machine but not a noise that would interfere with a radio/music. Any advice would be appreciated.

I recently bought one and think it's great. A purr from the compressor and a steady breathing sound that I find strangely reassuring. A lot nicer than the hissing and roaring from my old propane torches. I'm finding that soldering with oxy-propane does take a bit of getting used-to, though.
