    Smile Hello from Essex

    Hi

My name is Kay and I'm an artist. My main medium is acrylic and paint, but I'm branching out into Silver Clay, Copper Clay etc. So any hints and tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi and Kay

I don't do the clay stuff, but have seen some totally amazing creations.

Hi Kay, I'd love to see some of your work! I use clays infrequently, (mostly for insect bodies!), what kind of thing are you making/looking to make?

    Hi Kay,
I've used silver clay quite a bit and find it's best to fire it longer than the recommended time. I've had quite a few pieces break from under-firing. As for copper clay, I haven't got a kiln so have used the torch fired clay but find I have to fire it for ages and haven't had much success with that not sure what I'm doing wrong.
