    Default Hallmarking ( again!)

I have a ring in for repair from another horsehair jeweller that is based in Holland but sells on the internet regularly to the UK.
The ring was sold as platinum to a person in the UK and it has no hallmark at all.
    Is this legal?
    Thanks in advance

Here we go again, Sarah. I wish we had a member from an assay office, because the guidelines seem to make no mention of sellers from abroad. Dennis.

Well when I sell to to the UK from NL, my work has to carry the full hallmark.

Thanks guys, I also sell from abroad to the UK and follow the UKs hallmarking regulations so was a bit shocked to see such a high value piece with no mark.
Perhaps I will call the assay office....
