    A lot of work has obviously gone into that piece. I always find soldering the ends of twisted wire difficult . Make it look neat or even to keep the ends together , if that makes sense.

    Pushing the bezel over is harder too as it wants to stay against the rope.
    Worth it though for the effect I think.

    That's a nice piece of ammolite. As Dennis said it's most prized form can be too jarring for some eyes. Its often fairly expensive and I worry about getting a buyer for it too..

    My understanding is that the refractive layer is very fine and fragile to it is usually sold in a doublet or triplet but not sure what it is capped with.. And that too makes me wary of bezel. Setting so I take my hat off to you for making me look a wimp lol
