Default Theme Competition January 2017 - Winter

    Hello all,

2017 has finally arrived along with the frosty weather - it must be January and time for a new themed competition!

This month we want you to send us your WINTER themed designs - and in return our favourite will win a £100 Cooksongold shopping spree.

Simply submit an image of your piece on this thread by midnight, Tuesday 31st January to enter.

    Good luck!

    Terms & Conditions:

The closing date for the competition will be at midnight GMT 31.01.17.

The judging will take place on 01.02.17. The following criteria are used to determine the winner: design, the technique used and the overall finish of the piece. The Cooksongold judging panel will make the final decision.

The winner will be announced and notified via the forum by 03.02.17. The winner must redeem their shopping spree (up to the total value of £100) using their own Cooksongold account and within 2 months of receiving their winner information email.

In the case of the winner's shopping spree exceeding the total value of £100 (including VAT where applicable), the winner is liable to pay for any amount over the value of £100.

The competition is open to all Cooksongold customers aged 18 years and over. Only one entry per person.

Employees of Cooksongold, their agents and families are excluded from the competition together with any person connected to the competition.

To enter the competition, simply comment on the relevant forum thread with a photo of your themed design. No correspondence will be entered into.

All designs submitted must be the original work of the individual submitting them and must not infringe the rights of any other party. Cooksongold reserves the right to contact an entrant for further clarification if necessary.

Cooksongold reserves the right to disqualify any entry if it has reasonable grounds to believe you have breached any of these terms and conditions.

This is inspired by my cat Tesla looking out at the bare trees in my garden at 4pm ( although it might have been more to do with a squirrel sat on one of the branches) Winter - being observed from the cosy warm house, cat style!

I found a lovely flashy labradorite and set it with as much stone showing as possible. The front plate was pierced, filed and made rivet ready. Then after being connected, it was given a, matt and shiny finish.

Looking forward to seeing more creations here x

That's lovely - the idea, the piercing and the stone.

I love these cold bright winter days.

In a reasonably infrequent departure away from my preoccupation with rocks, inspired by flurries (I used to spend hours watching them as a kid) please find a snowflake obsidian pendant set - not my making- with a hand made snow-ball chain.

Thanks for the compliments. I've been down with 'flu for a week now. It's nice to come back to find some kind comments.
