    My Christmas rose pendant.
It measures 4.5cms x 2.5cms and I used 1.5 mm sheet. Weight including chain is just under 40gms.

Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year to all on the forum

Have a bit of Christmas whimsy! A silver Christmas present necklace with a 3mm garnet cab. Making the box was a lot easier than I expected, despite having an audience for most of it! This was made over our studios Christmas market last weekend. The tag moves freely, and was a last minute addition. The box is matte finished and the 'ribbon' (5mm bezel strip) is polished, although you cannot see this very well from the pics. Happy Christmas to all of you!

    what lovely entries!

such a lovely finish on your piece Anna. Lydia, I love it when the parts move - I imagine this is a really lovely little gift for someone.

A non-entry entry of a candle - this is just a bit of joy from me to you all - winning last month was just fabulous enough

it is a pear shaped opal (I think I love setting pear stones the most. I have made an 'offset' claw to go with the flow of the flame as stones tend not to come in wispy flame shapes. It is much more fiery and sparkly than I can photograph, lots of red and green and some blue sparkly bits.

Best and kindest of wishes to you all.

Im not sure how christmas themed this is but it was made as a gift for a friend and it does have nice bright christmasy red sapphires.

Sterling silver bark finish pendant with rose gold leaves and red sapphires.
I engraved the leaf veins on with my Air graver, far easier than doing lettering I have to say.
Im really pleased with the sapphires, I was looking for a really good true red and tried rubies, garnets and diamonds first before finding these from Wards and they are a fantastic red.

I made lots of mistletoe earrings for friends and family this Christmas - some like these with moonstone bead 'berries' and some with pearls.
I ended up making the leaves out of aluminium as the metal had to be thick enough to drill a 0.9mm hole through without weighing (or costing) too much!
I had no idea how dirty a metal aluminium is to work with.
