I finally got the ring finished this evening

    cutting up the sides

My new old micro motor makes setting much easier compared to using a pendant drill in my opinion

shoulder stones in place but not beaded yet

Video of finished ring its a bit shaky but its late !

Im looking into getting a macro lens for my camera Im not really sure what to go for, I need to do a bit of research but hopefully then I can do some better photos.I just use my phone at the moment and its not ideal

It looks impressive that, Josef. I can think of better fingers to display it on (no offence).
What make is the micromotor you've got there?

It's a lovely ring. You must have made that one for Diana's engagement back then. Dennis.

I don't know what you mean I even washed them for the video !! ;-)
Its a Patterson Dental micromotor It's actually made by NSK in Japan, I got it off FleesEbay the bits were really wobbly turning off center when I first got it so much so it was pretty unusable the chuck didnt clamp square and I suspect thats why it was for sale at cheap money. I stripped the chuck and cleaned everything . I used toothpicks soaked in WD40 and removed a big blob of compacted crud when I rebuilt it all it running true again .So it turned out ok in the end.

Its a GRS one https://grs.com/product/004-735-id-ring-holder/ it just clamps into the ball vice, the plastic tightner can get in the way sometimes but its nice to work with otherwise
