    Question siligum

Does anybody have experience with Silligum?
I'm looking to make items using scrap silver. And I was wondering if i can put scrap silver straight into a siligum mold to melt it or pour molten silver into a siligum mold from a crucible or not?!
Otherwise, would it be best just to use silver/copper clay for siligum molds?
I'll looking to spend a minimal amount getting this set up, as I have yet to purchase any of these things (bar the scrap silver).
    Any advise is gratefully received!
    Thank you.

The simplest options might be to pour it into:
    A carved out charcoal block,
    Cuttlefish,
Or to consider the Delft clay system
