    Default Titanium wedding ring

A builder friend is getting married soon and went out and bought wedding rings the other day. When I said I could have made them, he said how would you solder titanium, had to "pass" on that one. How would you solder titanium, silver solder or do you need something special.

Welding in an inert atmosphere or turned from a solid lump usually. Yes, the laser can do it...

Glad I didn't offer then. Have enough trouble soldering silver sometimes.

I would spin one on the lathe which is probably the best option. That is if you have one in the workshop.

Turn, maybe. Spinning is a very different technique and does not involve removal of material.

Yes Peter Turn is what I should have said.

We are in the habit of saying just off to spin a ring on the lathe in the workshop.
