    Default Mini kiln

Can I please ask for opinions on this mini kiln which has been selling on ebay

    Item no. 250496637425

How do you think it compares to the ultralite kiln?

I'd pay the extra and go for the ultralite...
    1) The ultralite has a front opening so you can slide things in
    2) If you load things from the top and the kiln was hot I could easily see accidents happening. e.g lifting up enamels.
    3) USA plug - has it been adapted for UK use?
    4) You can Keum-Boo on the ultralite using the special plates.

Yes the Ultralite costs more but it is a proven product.

I agree with Nic that it could be really difficult handling items in and out, its bad enough sometimes forwards and backwards.
Buying a kiln is a really important expense and I always advise to buy a kiln with the biggest interior dimensions that you can afford. You are then well placed to make larger items later if you want to without having to buy another one.
