    Default A mathematics question.

I want to make an end cap from silver tube that will fit over 2 pieces of 1.2mm round snake chain that are side by side. So. I'm trying to work out what diameter the original chenier needs to be, so that when I squeeze it with my parallel pliers, they will fit snugly over my 2 pieces of snake chain. Height will will be 1.2mm and width 2.4mm. It's just too time consuming to make each one from a strip of silver sheet.

Am I being thick? Looking for some help lovely community

2mm internal diameter maybe a touch more for wiggle room would be advisable but you may need to experiment what you can get to fit in , the width of the wall in the example is 0.5mm
