A slightly tenuous sporting connection, but I was really chuffed with how this turned out!

I was asked to make a necklace for the founder of London Rollergirls roller derby leage for their 10th birthday. They asked for something based on their annoyingly complicated logo, which looks like this:

So, I designed a necklace based on the core elements, so the Union Jack and the safety pin, and inspired by a classic punk Vivienne Westwood necklace.

Carved the safety pin head and Union Jack from wax:

Then all cast in silver and I soldered silver wire for the pin (it's not a functioning safety pin, the pin bit is soldered shut).
