Default 8mm sterling bezel cup post earrings?

I bought the 8mm bezel cup post silver earrings - made them into flat resin filled earrings.
Should I have strengthened the posts prior to shipping to my customer.
They arrived bent out of shape (she's in the US) and now she is too :0(
    advice welcomed- Lisa xxx

You could have hardened them, however I'm guessing they weren't very well packaged either?

If posts bend easily, they can be quickly hardened by twisting a quarter turn with pliers, every 3 mm or so. However as mentioned above, they should be packaged securely. A small rigid plastic box, or a strong presentation box would do it.

It would not be economical to have them sent back for straightening, so to keep her good will, you will need to make a suitable offer. Dennis.

I've offered her a full refund - but she's not getting back to me now. I packaged in cardboard, but obviously not well enough. thanks for the tip for future ones
