    Some gorgeous entries!

I'm currently trying to salvage mine. If I can manage it I'll get it in but if not, not to worry as it isn't gorgeous anyway!!!

    Hi all,

Thanks to everyone who entered our May competition!

I am happy to announce the winner of this month's themed competition is mikethejeweller with the following entry:

We loved how intricate this piece is, and liked the idea of an opening cage door alongside the added flower and key details - plus it was a perfect fit for this month's 'Golden' theme. Well done!

Please email competitions@cooksongold.com with your contact details and Cooksongold account number so we can arrange for your prize to be sorted.

    Congratulations again!

    Jen

That's a nice bit of news, iv been having a nightmare with a pair of 18ct rose gold earrings I'm making today, so this has definitely cheered me up a bit today, thanks cooksons.
Some great entries this month, I thought maybe the insect hotel would of pipped it.

Congratulations Mike, a lovely entry. Did you carve the owl from wax first?

No managed to source a metal one of similar size on eBay, just tidied it up a little and made a few alterations then cast it up in gold using the delft clay.
