Cooksons now doing direct 3d printing in platinum

I missed this - just saw the news elsewhere. You can now get items printed (DMLS, despite the printer manufacturers not much liking it being called sintering) in 950Pt/Ru as well as 18k yellow gold, 18k white gold, 18k red gold and Brilliante 925 silver.

I have seen a few samples from other people who were laser sintering cheap silver very rough and it was not great but I thought if you could refine it and control the waste and keep from cross contamination it will be great.

I am sure it will be very costly for a few years but still may be worth it if it works??

I think if the costs are not to crazy it will be a winner for Cookson
