Do you know what this setting would be called?
Hi, I'd appreciate some help, if possible.
I've searched for open back bezels; bezel bands; pinch bail bezel; open back setting... almost every permutation I can think of.
Does anyone know where they're available from, by any chance? Apparently they're silver-plated and available in 16mm, 18mm and 20mm. I don't need them for this type of jewelry so I don't know where else to look.
Thank you very much.

That looks like it might be what I'd call a type of spectacle setting.
Where to buy them? Haven't a clue, I've never needed to. Make them from scratch if I need them (same as the box clasps I've got pickling at the moment).

Thanks, Peter.
I'd be using it with acrylics so wouldn't be able to solder it to size. I've also seen these that look like they have a screw/hinge on the bail, almost like a coin bezel, but they're not that. Very frustrating indeed!

Hence spectacle setting - think of a wire frame around an acrylic glasses lens.

Its described in Sylvia Wicks, Jewellery Making Manual(p97),the first text book I ever bought. She describes closing it with a small jump ring; I would use a self tapping spectacle screw. Dennis.

I also know it as an eyeglass setting, as another search tool
