The egg is 25mm tall, enamelled silver shells with 18ct fittings and hand carved leaf band joining the two egg shells.

These are silver egg shells to give you an idea of size.

    Beautiful egg James.

I was going to go for an egg design as well, now I'm not so sure!

Well, clearly the egg came first so maybe it's time for a chicken?

I'm doing something not egg or chick related but still working out how to get it right without damaging anything

Beautiful, James. Do the two halves of the finished egg come apart, or are they soldered together as one?

There's an egg theme to mine too, assuming I get it finished...

Alan, the egg comes apart with a twist as I made a bayonet type fitting in the central band.

Great. I hoped that was the case - it would make a neat little drugs/poison stash, though I'm not suggesting your daughter would want to use it in that way!

I have made quite a few of these egg pendants over the years, this young princess is wearing one.
