    Default i need a drink...

I must admit that this jewellery making park is bloody frustrating at times.
I'm trying to make a trillion claw setting, I want it a bit fancy but it's just not going my way today.
Everything was going well and then it all melted..
I've discovered that swearing at it doesn't help it un melt.
I'm going to the pub before I eat the damn setting.

    Smart decision.
Next move is to reduce the fierceness of your flame, by partially closing the air hole and working in semi darkness, which warns you of some part over heating.

Usually I don't mind a melt as its easy enough to start again but these trillion triangles are a pain in the bum to make.

Not as difficult if you have a mandrel. Proops offer a cheap set: http://www.proopsbrothers.com/set-x-...028-1759-p.asp

If it was just a triangle it wouldn't be so bad but I need it to be a roundish (chubby) triangle.
Currently I am putting the bend in using my ring mandrel, cutting 3 equal lengths and soldering together. The problem is its small, like 4mm for the bottom gallery...
I'm sure tomorrow will bring fresh insight and I will breeze it. If I'm not to hung over that is ☺

I find it easier to bend around the pliers for trillions if thats any help.
However have definitely been at the frustrated stage many times myself on various stone settings lol

What like round/flat pliers? Or is there a trillion forming one?

I use half rounds generally Sam, but at 4mm would probably go for rounds!!
