Problems with white gold

Think hard, the plating comes off. I also have a wedding engagement and eternity ring that are plated. Not realising that they were plated,that was before I got into jewellery making, I have one of 18ct and one of 9ct and I think the other is 14ct so now the plating has worn off, all three are different colours and it looks strange.

I've heard the same about white gold - KEEP CLEAR! But I would love to be able to try making some jewelry with it because it does seem to be a beautiful metal. Good luck with it!
