i got a little cheapy DAB radio for in the shop and i mostly listen to arrow rock on it but i'm pretty eclectic

i got so much done yesterday while tidying up the shop when "don't stop believing" by Journey came on.

    YouTube - Don't Stop Believing - Journey
altogether now: "just a small town girl, livin' in a loooonely woooorld..."

for weaving chain i like some nice hypnotic stuff like groove salad on SomaFM: Listener Supported, Commercial Free Internet Radio cause the quicker i get into alpha state autopilot mode the better i get at it

NOT classical music! I KNOW it's supposed to aid concentration but I do like to sing along...Heart FM (I usually know the songs) if I can't be bothered to put a CD on but if so, anything from Emma Bunton and the Corrs to Oasis and Queen. I don't have much 'new' stuff and don't tend to follow anyone religiously but do have all abums by Melanie C.

I generally work in silence (Simon and Garfunkle again!)

If I'm going to listen to music, it very much depends on what I'm doing, but usually classic or conscious reggae - Max Romeo, Bunny Wailer, his Bobness, Tarrus Riley, Abyssinians, Beres Hammond, Diana King, Burning Spear, Sean Paul Buju and Shaggy - lots of dub, esp King Tubby and Lee Scratch Perry, Nyabinghi chants (fantastic for chainmaking). Opera if I'm in the mood. Bowie, Massive Attack, ELO, RHCP.

For singing along, it's usually jazz (esp Ella) or George Michael, or a bit of nostalgia with Evert Taube (Swedish folk singer and legend).

Can you tell I just checked the last few things on my playlist!

Max Romeo - what a blast from my past when I was in to ska, rocksteady and bluebeat. My dad bought me a whole pile of singles (remember them) from some specialist place in London. I submerged myself in musicians such as The Pioneers, The Wailers, The Skatalites, Toots and the Maytalls...

Oh what days they were. 15 years old and bursting with vitality.

Nowadays my tastes are varied and, to be honest, I have the radio on Capital Gold while I'm working. When I listen to my own music, it varies from Led Zeppelin thru Pink Floyd and along the way it meanders by The Eagles, Clapton, and Elton John with occasional forays into light classics, big band, and wise woman chants.
