Default Silver repair on tungsten carbide ring

A relative would like me to fix this by fitting a new outer ring (which I presume is silver). How, if at all, would the main ring be affected by fusing/soldering the silver in situ?

You can braze tungsten carbide, it wets readily.
However, I wouldn't be too certain what would happen to the surface finish... I'd probably pass on it if soldering were the only option.

Looks like a glue job, shame they advertise as inlaid ( which it is ) but isn't.

There aren't that many options, so with the owner's permission and having warned them of the possibilities, I would solder in a well fitting new piece of annealed and adapted silver wire using very easy solder. I would also to begin with, aim only to solder the join of the silver ring and see whether that will be sufficient. Dennis
