...Shall be no more.

That'll explain why I'm bombarded with emails from them asking to re-subscribe. Personally I thought it was a good magazine and very cheap too, although admittedly I didnt find all of the content useful and hated the amount of advertising printed in it.

As an ex-magazine editor...it's the advertising rather than the sales which keeps the magazine afloat. Or not.
They look as if they have lost a lot of goodwill over the arbitrary transfer of subscriptions to another mag in the stable.
As it ever was.
I'd not be too impressed about being shunted onto a different subscription either. When Eventing magazine shut up shop over here, they refunded people for the copies they wouldn't be supplying.
They also seem to have had a few article writers lined up who now are at a loose end. Whether they've submitted copy or not I don't know.
Glad to know as I've been meaning to renew a subscription. I'd be quite peeved to have renewed only to get their replacement of Bead and Button, something I haven't a slightest interest in. Christmas is a big time for subscriptions I'd gather.

I've just renewed my subs and so have just requested a full refund, before i seek to claim it back with my credit card provider. I don't see how they can take money for one thing and expect you to take whatever s offered.
It's a shame as i did like it and there doesn't seem to any mags like it left.

nice folks got back very quickly and refunded my credit card. sad i liked the mag and will miss it not dropping on the door mat.
will need to look for a replacement now.
