French clip for a barrette?

Does anybody know where I can get a good quality French clip for a barrette please?
I found some on Etsy but not sure of the quality.

I have made some barrettes in silver in the past Sarah, simply taking the steel clips out of plastic barrettes from the chemist. They can then be riveted on or screwed on with opticians screws.

This seemed the simplest option for a one off, but invariably the metal proved too heavy for the clip, so they would not hold in hair. I think now, that you need to find a lightweight construction, possibly in base metal,and consider the double comb type grip instead.

Here is just one of several attempts, scanned in from my album. In those days I kept records using a photocopier. Dennis.

Hmm, Im hoping it won't be too problematic but the design will be relatively heavy I suppose (12mm wide by 75mm long and 2.5mm deep in silver ) and the customer specifically wants a french clip :/
