    Default Does Solder paste stick?

    Hi guys,

Not sure if my question will make sense.... but can you stick stuff together with solder paste? haha

for example, I want to make a ring with some tiny silver chunks on...sort of like the look of granulation but more textured.

So I'm wondering can I use solder paste to 'stick' and hold the chunks on the band and then solder a bunch on at one go?

    Hope this makes sense!! Thanks!

Makes sense to me. Yup, solder paste is a bit "sticky" ... but the same rules apply. It does not fill gaps, so you will need to make sure your "chunks" are in contact with your ring shank. Once the solder flows your chunks will fall off if they are not on a level surface or held there by some other means (like binding wire), so you can't stick your chunks on a curve and expect them to stay in place.
