Alloying palladium 500 (PD500)
hello everyone!
i need your help, i'm gonna have to make some palladium alloy, the so called palladium 500.
the recipe should be 51%palladium 41%silver 8%copper according to what i could find online.
i'm am used to work with palladium, but i've never alloyed it or platinum starting from pure metals, i usually get it ready to go and when i have to melt a few pieces i just fuse them together..
i know how to make silver and gold alloys, and i am setted up with an oxigen torch.
so, what kind of crucible would you recommend?
should it become nice and liquid like silver and than i just pour it in a steel mold?
should i maybe use an induction furnace?
thanks for any answer!
