    Default Scuffed reluctant citrine...

    Attachment 8027

    Hi,

I am wondering/hoping I can get some help polishing a scuff out of a little citrine. It has been an absolute so and so to set so I really don't want to have to reset it. Is it possible to get the shine back on the top (is it table) of it?

    Many thanks in advance (again!)

I'm sorry you are having this trouble S, but being set quite deeply for the eyes, I would try a quick remedy, which is to polish with polygold 200.

They are 11mm dia. felt wheels impregnated with fine diamond paste, hopefully small enough to just reach and a mandrel with a screw, to run them on.

If you phone Fischer and ask to speak English, a tube of them will be with you in about a week. Ordering on-line appears to be slower. The downside is that it will set you back twenty Euro and you will never use them up, because you learn with time to avoid that problem.

That wouldn't be a commission for a dentist in America, by any chance?
(Great advice from Dennis, by the way.)
