Has anyone heard of sterling (or other) silver which looks pink, like sterling with a rose gold plating? It was seen in Puerto Rico.
It would be a bit amazing m'thinks

Thanks for speedy response Peter..what or who is shibuichi?
It's one of the traditional Japanese alloys - usually 25% silver/75% copper, but it can go down to around 4%. Colours vary accordingly - although the concern is usually what they look like after patination.
There is/was also Rubedo, a Tiffany thing - that had some gold in it, but so little as to be barely worth mentioning (unless writing marketing blurb for Tiffany).
Edit - mea culpa, 35% apparently. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/05/fa...-of-metal.html

And, I've just thought, Honora has a sort of bronze alloy....
Silver in the same way as that cloggau is welsh gold - one molecule per kilo?
I'd be interested in how to create a blue cast to silver (alloy if necessary). Has anyone come across any info / links? ... I can't seem to find anything. Thanks in advance
