    Wow! Thank you for that - and thanks for all the nice comments along the way. The prize will certainly come in handy. I have a wish-list as long as my arm and the only problem now is deciding whether to put it towards one of the bigger ticket items on the list or several of the lesser ones...

    Another vintage motorbike enthusiast has already asked if I can make a pair of working mole grips as cufflinks, so, who knows, this could be the start of a range of mini-tool jewellery!

    Yes I do remember - and thanks for the encouragement! Following Jayne and Kathryn's discussion here about plugs/tunnels for stretched earlobes, I have been doing a bit of research into wooden plugs with a view to making flower pieces to fit into them...
