    Default Cold connections!

I was given the almost impossible task of making a brooch to be presented in the House of Lords which was to include anodised aluminium, silver, gold and opal!

I came up with this design where the whole thing is kept together with tabs which fold around the back. I'm fairly happy with it, although as usual, I might have changed things a bit if I had my time over again. It's not 100% finished as I'm waiting for my customer to decide on an inscription for the back, so you can just see the tabs.

Wow that's lovely. I like the colour of the opal and the aluminium back plate. (Actually I like all of it )

Thanks very much. I would have preferred it without the aluminium really, but that was the most important bit to the customer.

Was the picture taken in your lovely new light box...?

Thanks everyone. Yes it was taken in the lightbox Lauren. I'm loving it, particularly now that I've had a lesson on getting the right camera settings. Now I look at it though, it looks as though there's a crease in the top, which isn't actually there.

Ooo that is really nice! Very clever getting all that into one piece as well.

That's an heirloom quality piece Carole. Pity to part with it really. Dennis.
