Default 4mm thick 18ct gold sheet for ingot

Hi can any one direct me or knows of a site which sells 3.5mm-4mm thick 18ct gold sheet. It seems most sites only sell up to 3mm, I don't want to cast as this will cost me more in waste whilst shaping.
    Thank u

    Hi Tom,
    Welcome.

    Have you tried Bairds? (Goldline.co.uk)

I am sure if you gave Cooksons, Goldline or Betts metals a call, you could get a better solution. Sometimes a call to clarify is better than an onscreen programme.

Called cooksons with no luck as it would cost to much for a small piece. May have to settle for 3mm thickness. Will call the others. Thank u

Swear soldering is what we all do Tom. It's part of the game.
To get what you are looking for I would use, or roll down, square wire which comes in thicker sizes. Dennis.

    Cheers Dennis
I had considered 6mm square wire, I have a Durston mini rolling mill which I will use, so the next question is....... Will a 6mm square by 11mm long roll down to 4mm thick 6mm wide and roughly 15mm long??? Any tips on doing this??
    Thanks
