    Swear soldering is what we all do Tom. It goes with the territory.

    You might consider using wire, which comes in larger sizes and rolling it down as necessary. If you can get even temporary use of a rolling mill, then partially rolling square, D-shaped, or round wires will give you a variety of attractive shapes to cut into lengths with very little waste.

    You could also consider ready made investment bars.

    Lastly the 3.0mm sheet from Cookson is not far out. Dennis.

    To get what you are looking for I would use, or roll down, square wire which comes in thicker sizes. Dennis.
