Fox and Hare Necklaces
I must confess to being a bit nervous of showing these, as they are nowhere near the standard of everyone else's work on here, but then again I am rather proud of them as they were fiddly and took me a while.
The fox necklace has a labradorite set in the star and iolite rondelles above, and the hare necklace has a moonstone in the moon (of course!) and moonstone beads at the top.
I hope you like them!

I like that the hook is part of the design rather than at the back of the pendant and is balanced by all the extras The symbolism of the moon and stars is nice too. What sort of size are they?

Hi Claire,
Don't be shy about your work. Your necklaces are very jolly and there is plenty of detail there to keep the eye busy. Having the hook as part of the design is convenient too. Dennis.

I think they're lovely Claire

Thank you Kathryn, Dennis and Lauren
Here are a couple of pictures of them being modelled to give an idea of size:
I'm a great one for making things up as I go along. I started with the fox and hare cut out and knew I wanted to include the moonstone and labradorite somehow, I guess the idea of starry night skies just came from that. I like making clasps an obvious part of the design of a piece as I always think if I'm going to the trouble of making it, it might as well be on display!

They're lovely Claire - don't know why you're nervous about showing them!

I tend to hide my (unimaginative) fastenings at the back, but I love how you've made them part of the design!!.......and I agree with the others,.....you certainly don't need to be shy about sharing your designs!!

They look really lovely on

Thank you all I'm just very aware of the high standard of work here, and I'm still a beginner! I've only been doing this type of thing for a year (and very much part time with my children taking up most of my time), having previously spent a few years making beaded / wire jewellery so I still have a long way to go!
I love coming on here though, there's so much helpful advice and I have learnt a lot by trawling through old posts

These are gorgeous Claire! You've nothing to be nervous about at all!
