    Default Identify The Metal Finding...

I need a bit of help!
I'm still a newbie to jewellery design and my family are throwing all sorts of jewellery related problems at me. But the simplest one so far is to help my aunt, she has purchased a pair of earrings but the hooks are too thick for her ears.

I originally thought this was silver but I got the French hooks through today which are the same style as the ones already present but the metal colour is different.
It's not silver, and it's not gold, its a bit of both.
I am trying to look up rhodium and platinum to see if the colours are the same but so far no luck.
Also, I do love the colour, it's quite unusual and would love to work with this on a piece I am thinking of so would love to identify this too.

Anyone help a newbie with this simple problem?

It's a bit basic but it looks like silver which needs a rub with a polish cloth...

That's what I thought but they were purchased a week ago from HoF and this is the colour purchased.
I'll give is another wee rub but it seems to be a tarnished silver.
It's proving an issue to find thinner findings without it looking out of place

bit of shameless self-promotion here, but I think some of mine might do?

That was my guess looking at it. Silver dip (Jeffrey Herman will lynch me!) might be an adequate solution.
