    Default Titanium ring

I have been asked if I can enlarge a wedding ring, on further inspection it is Titanium. I have tried heating it and bashing it on a ring mandrel but it hasn't budged, it only needs to be half a size bigger. If anyone has any ideas I would be quite grateful as its hubbies ring. I haven't got a ring stretcher - yet!!!!!!!!

    Say "no".

It'd be more cost effective to get a new one from Alan.

Oh, I will make another one for him then, he isn't driving artics now so it won't get as much abuse.

You might be able to grind (or machine) enough out from the inside, but I'd forget stretching it - the ring stretcher may well come off worst. Depending on the alloy it can be relatively ductile (CP is, for example) - but the other alloys, such as 6Al4V/Grade 5 tend to be much less responsive.
