I love the pendant Vos, the finish looks awesome to me. I like the balance of the lighter weight bail with it too, unobtrusive. Great to see you have got back on your horse, so to speak!

Thanks Sammy, that good to hear as I wasn't sure. It's exactly what I was aiming for but wasn't sure if I'd got the balance right. For some reason never quite know how to 'pitch' my bales so to speak. It's also difficult to know how large to make the opening when you're not fitting the chain yourself.

I really like it Vos. I think it would be a very arrogant person who didn't think they had room for improvement in their own work. That's what I love about jewellery making - there's always more to learn. Good luck with the competition.

I love that too Vos, I have never thought about making a bail like that, what a good idea must try it. I came up to Bristol the other day for an Ikea visit, to buy a cupboard for my crochet stuff so the dogs dont chew it up. Crochet is another hobby, one that I am learning to do, been doing it for about a month or so now. My mum added her comment, "you dont want to do that, its an old lady's hobby". I think she has a youth gene or something, she is 97, lives at home in a bungalow with my dad and does all her own housework etc apart from a cleaner who comes in once a fortnight. Went down to see them yesterday and she was out in the greenhouse potting up tomato plants and bedding plants grown from seed. Wish I had some of her energy. I know its not about jewellery, but it just illustrates that if you really want to do something you can achieve it, just a question of mind over matter.

She sounds like a character Pat. My MIL is much the same at 92. She will not make any allowances in her life for her age and refuses point blank to have any help at all.

Welcome back Vos, I really like the simplicity of the pendant, it has given me an idea ...
