    Default Public liability insurance

Me again! I have a chance of a stall at a music festival for £10 for the whoile weekend.....never sold my jewellery before - certainly not on a stall. Sounds great and want to give it a go but the event organisers need me to have public liability insurance....aggghhhh....has anyone else got this and where did they get it and how much typically does it cost? Thanks, Nicola x

Hi again. I did mine through the Guild of Jewellery Designers.

Keep your expectations low about the music festival. You may strike it lucky but you may spend the whole weekend wishing you hadn't bothered. I did an upmarket literary festival once and it cost me an arm and a leg. Was a total waste of time.

I use Ian Wallace, they insure me for public and product liability, stock, studio equipment, and running workshops.

Unfortunately they don't seem to be transferable or I would have moved it over to my guild membership but I believe I'd have to start over and lose my ncb

It should be on your policy renewal every year with Hencilla. I'd taken mine out through AN before the guild policy was introduced and now I only pay about 130 a year with my ncb. I'm sure I worked it out that I was still cheaper paying both memberships to get my insurance than just paying through the Guild which is a pain as I have to remember to pay both!
