New ring

Evening everyone,

Currently on making a suite of 'pebble' inspired jewellery after walking along the Northumberland coast the other day.

This is the ring, and I'm also making a pendant, bracelet and ear rings to match too.

Sterling Silver and set with a sapphire.

Its an interesting ring Nick. Two questions:

Is the stone set in a depression in the pebble?
Is the middle of the shank made of braided wire? I look forward to seeing the rest of the suite. Dennis.

Thanks Dennis, always trying to make things that look a little different as you know.

The 'pebble' part is just that, a large granulated bit of silver that's probably about 5mm deep. Domed top, and curved underside to match the ring profile.

The sapphire is simply flush set in the centre. Was originally intending to set three small sapphires into it but couldn't decide on the pattern.

Middle part is granulated wire as you've said.
