Default A few recent simple designs

Just a few recent simple designs I've finished off lately. Nothing flash I know, but I'm trying ha!

    Cheers,

I like them, Nick. I think they have a clean simplicity, and you shouldn't think jewelry needs to be flash. You have set the big stone (amber?) very neatly.

I do like simple, clean designs it's true but it's also a lengthy learning curve isn't it, albeit a very enjoyable one

    Large orange stone is a Sunstone ( 14mm )

So that's why we haven't heard from you for a while Nick. I really like what you are doing.

I'm glad you called it sunstone. My book says it's a variety of oligoclase, a species of plagioclase feldspar, but I think they are just showing off. Dennis.

Thanks Dennis. Works been the main factor ( daytime job ) as its stopped me devoting much time to the jewellery making.

As for the stones name, that was what it was advertised as at gemcollector.com.

    Cheers,

    Nick

Nothing wrong with simple, Nick! Less is more as they say... I sometimes wish I could stop complicating things and make more simple, clean pieces, especially since they really appeal to me. Sometimes it's tempting to use various ways of texturing and decorating just because you can, stopping at the right time is a gift I think!

Really lovely pieces, fab sunstone, all really nicely finished - and great photography too!
