    Hi Dennis; do you mean riveting before the clip is bent into shape? I don't understand how to get on the rverse side of the clip to flatten the tubes with a tapered punch. Have you done it before? Thanks

    I do a lot of riveting, you could just do wire rivets and you would probably be able to slip a solid plate in between the fold. It would be preferable to do the riveting on the flat sheet though and then fold your metal over to make your clip
