    Thats a really useful link there James, thanks, and I hadnt heard of that company before. Just a quick browse of their site shows some very useful bits, so I've bookmarked it for future ordering.

    Someone asked me if I would make her a ring with an Opal in it, then she gave me the Opal and said there you are, I need it about half the size when you cut it down you could make me some earrings with the rest. Hahahahaha, I hope she was joking. Never cut a stone in my life and dont intend to start with an Opal.

    Opals are quite easy to carve, make her a cat or something lol
