    Default Badeco Microfiling Handpiece

Been looking at these and wondering just how effective ( or not ) they actually are and wanted to know if anyones using them?

Wont post a link as I'm not entirely sure its allowed as its from a competitors site.

They apparently convert the rotary motion in a reciprocating motion and have a stroke of 1mm. Are these just an expensive tool for jewellers with more money than sense, or are they genuinely useful and time saving?

    Cheers,

    Nick

I've played with them, I don't have one. They are extremely useful if you are finishing lots of castings under time pressure, but I'm less certain of a need outside of that scenario. The 2.35mm ceramic rods that are available are something I'd suggest as an alternative, they're fantastic for finishing nooks & crannies.
