2 x rings made this week.
Hi all,
I seem to have been making a lot of pendants lately, so got around to knocking out a couple of silver finger rings this week. Both made in Sterling Silver.
Trying to stick to a theme of 'less is more' if that makes sense?
Critique good and bad is welcome as always!

Love them both. Critism, rings have to be comfy, should think the angular one would need the edges a bit thicker to be really comfy tho.

Nice! I love the top textured one especially.

I like the top one best too, how did you do the texturing on both?
I think it looks like it would be comfortable to wear, do you try them on yourself? I agree comfort is an important issue with rings especially.

Yes I's obvious we are going to be drawn to the ring with flats, which reveal the real jeweller out there. Dennis.

I love it, the only critism I would have is that is it comfy to wear. Strangely enough I make a lot of rings because I love them, but very rarely wear any jewellery other than my stud ball earrings, my watch and wedding ring. If I am going out somewhere I normally make the effort but can't wait to take it off again when I get home.

I really like those Nick, very tidy soldering on the beaded ring, but I'm another one drawn to the one with flats!!!!

The top one isn't textured, it's simply plain silver and the marks you can see on it are from a number 2 file that I used to facet it. They are only visible really close up, and to be honest I don't mind them being visible as they give it a certain quality.
The second more elaborate ring was textured using a diamond tipped anvil in a Foredom hammer handpiece, and I really like the result. Used the spherical beading after seeing it mentioned on the forum a week or so ago.
Whenever I make something like a ring, I tried it on myself as well as ask my other half to road test it, and they are both comfy to wear fortunately!

That's the best bit you get to choose which to keep.

She's been nagging me to keep them both but she's not allowed as I want to sell them!
