    Thats good to know, thanks Nick, think I might try it.
    Currently only using the wire in braiding as that can't be polished later.

    No you just use the same solder, but make tidy joints. Dennis.

    I tend to use argentium solder. However, I rarely solder it at all as it fuses so well - which for me is the main reason to use it instead of any other alloy.

    You do have to be very careful about working with it when hot - especially with sheet - as it does get really quite brittle, and is liable to collapse if not well supported.
