    Default The Fish Pond Pendant.

This is a project I have just finished, loosely based on Gary Drostle's beautiful mosiac in Croyden Garden.
I actually have been teaching myself how to paint in vitreous enamels recently, and what was a simple search for some suitable images to practice with ballooned into full on month long exercise of smithing.

I posted a detailed description of the method of making on my blog in my signature line.

Great stuff, Hans. So... The definitive answer on image transfer is...?

    Is it Saral?

Hans, that is epic, well done!! Just one observation to make, more to do with the photography than the piece itself. Be nice to see a shot with some scaling item, such as a coin, included.

So pendant chains are a fixed regulation size now are they?

Well, you may reasonably assume it's going to be between about 1 & 3mm diameter? It's not a precise scale object, but close enough for jazz.
    I can tell it's about 25mm +/- 5%

Actually, scratch that - I think I'm looking at a different engraving vice, I'd assumed that was a GRS Microblock but the hole layout is different to mine. If it's the standard block, that makes it about 40mm.

Are you finding it lonely working on your own Peter, we can spend far too much time on the forum just for a bit of interaction?

Honestly? Not even a bit. Was waiting for some code to compile though.
